I noticed on hearing Double Fantasy many years after it came out (when I had listened to it exactly once), that it was very fresh-sounding and pleasing. I decided it was just ahead of its time. Maybe worth a whirl?
I like many of John Lennon's songs, btw. Maybe I'm subconsciously blaming Yoko for the break-up of the Beatles, and this is my passive-aggressive way of dealing with it. Although that doesn't explain the Bob Dylan thing. Maybe I subconsciously think he had something to do with it too. And the Grateful Dead.

ReplyDeleteYou were just experiencing nostalgia. And you're lying if you say you didn't skip the Yoko tracks.
